Thought I would put up some more photos from Cataract. These are not the greatest, but I still like them.

I rode my motorcycle down to the lake yesterday and saw these old trees. I thought they were worth a few photos. When I got home and looked at them they seemed to tell a story to me. I don't know if anyone else sees it, but the old trees seem to be happy that spring …

I decided to go to the camera shop this morning and buy the lens I have been wanting. After getting it I could not wait to try it out. I came home and familiarized my self with it and then decided to go to Cataract Falls and try it out. I must say I am pleased …

I have had a busy winter. Worked a lot of overtime and had little time to myself. The house I was renting finally sold so I moved. Now late spring is here and I plan to try and find the time for things I like. I don't have the view of the pond and acres of land for photos …

I have been working a lot lately and have not been taking many photos, but when I saw the sunset tonight I could not resist getting out the camera. A front had moved through with some high winds and a little rain. It was starting to clear at sunset.

It has been a long hot summer. Things are starting to change now. It is not fall yet, but it is definitely coming. The skies are crisp and cool in the evenings now. This makes for some different sunsets. They have a cool crisp quality to them.

I have been busy the last week and have not had the chance to take many photos, but I did manage to get a sunset photo I liked last week. Then last night a large storm went around north of where I live. It had a lot of lightning in it, so I went in and grabbed the camera.

I had the day off today, so I thought I would grab the camera and see if there was anything that caught my eye. As I walked across the fields I noticed that I had never seen so many butterflies at one time. I chased around for about twenty minutes capturing photos of them.

I have been busy this past couple of weeks, but I did manage to get a few photos. There is not really a theme to this bunch. Just some things that caught my eye. I liked the first one because you can see the shadow of the wing on the left side.

Rising up as to the edge of the heavens the winds carry life through the ages. At times they ease and things slow to the pace of a carefree day. Drifting by like leaves that fall into the river of no tomorrow. These days are few, but greatly satisfying.

Just some stuff from this past week. Flowers and sunsets.

Took a motorcycle ride the past few days. It was just to hot to take very many photos. Had to keep moving most of the time due to the triple digit temperatures. I did manage to take a few while on the ferry crossing the Ohio River though.

I have heard a lot of people complaining about the heat around here lately. I have to admit that I do my fair share of it. I work outdoors part of the time and it does get to me some, but I am not outside all day so it could be worse.

I racked my brain on several different ideas, but decided on this one. Trying to make the car look like a model.

In keeping with what seems to be the theme this weekend I am posting more baby animal pictures. I took these photos over the past few days. In the second photo the parent is watching me making sure I don't harm the baby.

I was out taking some photos today and thought about how many flower and bug shots I have been taking lately. Maybe I should start photographing some other things for a while. Then I thought. Wait a minute, its summer. That's what I should be taking photos of.

Noticing that the temperature was in the nineties with high humidity I thought it would be a good time to take a walk in the sun. I came across some blossoms on weeds that seemed to be a haven for all kinds of bugs.

Thought I would share some photos of bugs I have shot this week. Some are pleasant to look at, but the one of the wasp is a little strange. I have not decided if it is a kill and food source or a young one being transferred to a new home in the awning on the back deck.

I sat on the back deck last evening and was amused by the antics of the local rabbits. I enjoyed watching them in their courting ritual. It was both sweet and comical. The male was following the female every where she went.

I noticed these clouds coming in the other evening. They looked pretty menacing. I grabbed the camera and waited for them to close in expecting a horrendous storm. I like the photos, but the storm turned out to be a dud. A few sprinkles was about it.

I thought I would post some more photos of flowers and their relationship with bugs. They go hand in hand with nature. Also, I just like bugs. Sometimes when I look at them in photos I see them in an entirely different way.

I enjoy taking photos of sunsets. They are some of the most beautiful sights ever seen. Every once in a while I look the other way though. Yes I am talking about looking east during a sunset. There is sometimes a golden glow cast on everything in the east.

I mentioned I painted a little, (not very often). I have no style or training. I just have an urge to paint once in a while. It makes me feel good about myself. I do it as cheaply as possible also. These are all canvas stretched over card board.

I watched a man die today. It's really not that unusual in my line of work. I've watched many men and women die. As a nurse for the elderly, death is something I have to deal with often. I deal with it by building a wall, being somewhat unemotional and matter of factual, trying …
Life has been stressful and extremely busy , but never should one forget to take the time to indulge in the beauty that surrounds us.
I caught Mr. Phoebe flycatching the family's breakfast this morning, then serving it up one by one. When I walked the dogs I found a polkadot turtle looking for a place to lay her eggs. ny.gov/animals Then the skunks will come to dig them up for a midnight snack... …
