I had the day off today, so I thought I would grab the camera and see if there was anything that caught my eye. As I walked across the fields I noticed that I had never seen so many butterflies at one time. I chased around for about twenty minutes capturing photos of them. I was not lucky enough to get shots of all the different varieties, but I did get a few. They are sometimes a little aggravating even if they are beautiful. As soon as I would get them into focus most would flutter away. I did get a few shots that I really liked though.
I have taken a lot of butterfly photos this summer, but I am not tiring of them yet. All I could think of this morning was that summer is drawing to an end and I will not have many more days like this to enjoy them. Before we know it the fields will be dry and lifeless. The bright colors will be put away until next spring. In the present time though I am savoring the beauty that comes from the over powering sun that brings us these wonders.
